A Treehugger report claims that solar panels may not be as environmentally-friendly as was initially thought given the potential for waste generated from the life-cycle of a solar panel. The article discusses the early development of a recycling plan as a plausible solution.

From this article we get knowledge about “GREEN BUILDINGS” but why is it called GREEN? Why “GREEN” word is used?
        Hi Mr Kishore Bain,
Green building – also known as sustainable or high performance building – is the practice of increasing the efficiency with which buildings and their sites use and harvest energy, water, and materials so as to protect and restore the environment, throughout the building life-cycle. Since people have realised the importance of conserving our environment and the natural environment is best described by the colour green, the term ‘go green’ was coined.

Thus, buildings that reduce the overall impact of the built environment on human health and the natural environment by:
        * Efficiently using energy, water, and other resources
        * Protecting occupant health and improving employee productivity
        * Reducing waste, pollution and environment degradation; are called ‘green’ buildings
