    Hi Sir,
I am planning for house, and construction will start next month . Before that, I have few Vastu issues, which I would like to clarify with you. My house is East Facing houst. My Question in on toilet. Ground Floor toilet is in ‘West’ side. But ppl saying it should be in ‘N-W’.. What do you suggest..?
    Hi,
Place the toilet where you need it most like adjoining a bedroom.

    Evening,
My bedroom is in southwest direction on first floor, and I am sharing same wall which is in southwest direction with my neighbour bedroom, they have attached toilets also. Is it ok as per vastu,or I have to do something else
Kindly reply as soon as possible, because work is going on
    Thankyou
    Hi,
It is not ideal because there could be leaks from the terrace and sound can be heard through the walls. You could put some cladding on the common wall to reduce the sound and chance of leaks.

North east main door in an apartment ….not getting any sunlight….is it still good as per vastu ….
Because lot of so called vastu pundit create an unnecessary fear in people’s mind . I have full faith in vastu science when it is explained scientifically…..I am completely convinced with your articles….please answer this query as well. …please…
    Hi,
In apartments, since the doors open from the lobby, there is usually no sunlight. So do not depend on sunlight from that side, instead make sure windows are kept open to admit light.

    Dear Sir,
I am planning to build on a lot which is facing north with extension on NE and NW.
    North : 82 feet
    South : 72 feet
    West : 142 feet
    East : 144 feet
Is it a good plat for residencial purpose or it has negative energy due curtailed SE and SW ends. Please advise.
    Thanks
    Kumar
    Hi,
Since it has extension in the NE, it is a good plot.

    Hello Sir,

I am planning to buy an individual house. After seeing your article in google, thought to get your advise, hope you would help me in this.
i have identified a old house G+1 (east facing) and planning to buy the same.
but as per vastu it has few defects as it has external steps in north east (facing east) for 1st floor, also it has back gate facing south and a well at South west side. please advise, if it is ok to buy the same and it is possible to correct the defects with remedy ?
    Hi,
Such a big decision depends on you alone. If you get a good feel about the place go ahead. You can make changes to correct the Vastu defects after consulting a good vastu specialist.

Hi, good to see the scientific approach to Vastu. After visiting your site I am wondering that the shape square or rectangle is for the plot or house build on a plot? Please send me a quote for designing a 220 sq mtr house on a rectangular plot.
    Regards
    Hi,
A rectangular house is ideal. We charge between Rs 120 – 150/sft depending on the requirements and complexity.

    Hi,
Manasara Silpa Sastram is a definitive Indian treatise on Vastu Sasthram, an ancient building code which was used for designing houses, planning cities and communities for centuries in India.

I have identified a house to purchase. The house is west facing and constructed in the center of the plot. It has open spaces in front, north and south side. My first question is, how the vasts rules applies? whether it in constructed area or as a whole plot.
Second question, Master Bed room is on 1st floor in NE corner in the constructed area but NE corner of the plot is open and partially with pool. Is there wrong sign for Master Bed room and I appreciate if you could advice solution?

    Hello:
Could you please advise me on the flat that I am evaluating for purchase, which is as below:
1.It has East facing entrance (close to the south-east corner), but since the entrance passage is on the East, there are no windows facing east, so no sunlight can be received from the East.
2.Living, Kitchen, MasterBed have windows towards North. There is sufficient light in the morning/afternoon, although no direct sunlight
3.Master Bed and Bedroom2 have window on West. Some sunlight is received after 3 pm.
4.In general, the flat has good lighting, however no direct sunlight.
5.Do the vastu rules apply to flats- because most of the rules seem to be applicable to independant houses?
6.Vastu folks consider East entrance on the south corner as a dosha. What does architecture say?
Would appreciate your guidance as I do not wish to fall into the trap of make believe vaastu pundits

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I have a plot of NS=90feet and EW=39feet. I have a road at the North (25 feet) and East (11 feet road). I am willing to construct my house within EW 39 and NS (between 45-65 feet, as I have more space here). However, the vastu guidelines say that the NS cannot be more than X times EW (I think its 2.5 or 1.5 not sure) Can you please clarify so that I can fix the perimeter appropriately?

Plan to build a 1600/1800 sq.ft house overlooking a valley, around 250Km. from Mumbai, The valley view is due SW.
Do not like the rectangular boxes that go for houses especially those in Kerala / south India.
Is it possible for an Architect to design a house with sharply sloping roofs, the kind you see in Poland, Eastern Europe, and San Francisco. These use wood as the primary material, so is it possible to express that style in RCC. Not bothered by Vastu, as the house has to face the valley for it to make any sense.
    Hi,
Of course you can do anything in RCC. However, you will need to engage a good team of architects and structural designers. Also a good contractor. I’m glad you are willing to experiment with steep slopes instead of thinking within the’box’. All the best for your project.
